Sold brass and solid silver bead bangle
Sold brass and solid silver bead bangle
This bangle has been handcrafted using solid metals of brass and silver to create a simple, minimalist bangle with a little bit of detail. The rich colour of the solid brass is highly polished and the silver bead shines out like a planet on orbit around it. This piece is a one-off creation.
The bangle measures 6.3mm (internal diameter).
All of my jewellery pieces are handcrafted by me using traditional silversmith skills at my little home studio, and are generally one of a kind in their design. I sometimes use findings which are not handmade, such as the chains I use for pendants but otherwise my jewellery is fashioned just from sheet silver and silver wire and old fashioned basic techniques and tools. I use ethically sourced gemstones where possible and all of the beachcombed items I use such as sea glass, sea pottery and sea plastic are genuine, mostly found by me (unless kindly donated) and smoothed naturally by the sea predominantly off the coast of England. My pieces are hallmarked when necessary as a precious metal by the London Assay Office with my maker’s mark – I use mostly sterling silver for my handmade jewellery and these are hallmarked when they are above the weight of 7.78g.
