Sterling silver circle clasp bangle
Sterling silver circle clasp bangle
= HANDMADE SILVER BANGLE =
This bangle has been handforged from sterling silver, which has been textured in two ways to create lovely depth in the metal. The wrist band has been textured onto concrete and the central circle band has been rustically textured using a basic DIY hammer. The silver has been oxidised to allow the patina to work its way into the grooves and give contrast.
Size: 6.3cm wide with an approximate 3cm gap to slide on sideways onto wrist
Materials: Sterling silver
Finish: Oxidised, polished
Hallmarked as sterling silver with my maker’s mark.
Each piece of my handmade jewellery is made by me using traditional silversmithing tools and skills at my East London studio and are mostly one-of-a-kind creations. I use precious and solid metals, gemstones and beach finds in my work and apply different textures and finishes to vary my work as much as possible. I love to use organic shapes and influences and most sea glass or sea pottery pieces are used as they have been found - without any additional cutting, sanding or tumbling. The jewellery you purchase from me is made with love; made by a jeweller at a bench with her own two hands and some old-fashioned tools. The pieces are not factory finished and will always have an organic sense of being.
Gemstones are ethically sourced where possible and I use every tiny bit of silver I purchase including any fragments, offcuts and silver dust in the conscious effort to be as eco-friendly as possible with as little waste as I can. My sea glass jewellery and sea pottery jewellery may need more care than a regular piece of jewellery because of the nature of the vintage glass set within it. Please refer to my guidance page for tips to preserve your sea glass jewellery pieces. Oxidised jewellery will also need particular care to keep the oxidised finish for as long as possible.
All of the beachcombed items I use such as sea glass, sea pottery and sea plastic are genuine, mostly found by me (unless kindly donated) and have been frosted and smoothed naturally by the sea, predominantly off the coast of England. My pieces are hallmarked when necessary as a precious metal by the London Assay Office with my maker’s mark – I use mostly sterling silver for my handmade jewellery and jewellery is therefore hallmarked when it is above the weight of 7.78g.
All of my handmade jewellery pieces are presented in rustic, eco-friendly gift boxes and shipped in recycled eco-friendly packaging where possible.
