This pendant has been created from thick solid brass wire which has been wrapped continually and fused to give it a fixed, weighty feel. The brass has been textured and then oxidised and polished in places for contrast and depth. It has a wide loop on the back for fairly thick chains, material or cord to hang through but it does come with a sterling silver 16” chain.

All of my jewellery pieces are handcrafted by me using traditional silversmith skills at my little home studio, and are generally one of a kind in their design. I sometimes use findings which are not handmade, such as the chains I use for pendants. My jewellery is otherwise fashioned from solid sheet metal (such as sterling silver, fine silver, solid brass, solid copper) and precious or solid wire (not plated) with the use of old fashioned basic techniques and tools. I use ethically sourced gemstones where possible and all of the beachcombed items I use such as sea glass, sea pottery and sea plastic are genuine, mostly found by me (unless kindly donated) and smoothed naturally by the sea predominantly off the coast of England. My pieces are hallmarked when necessary as a precious metal by the London Assay Office with my maker’s mark – I use mostly sterling silver for my handmade jewellery and these are hallmarked when they are above the weight of 7.78g.
