~ HANDCRAFTED STERLING SILVER AND BLACK PEBBLE RING WITH VICTORIANA PATTERN ~

• I handcrafted this sterling silver ring using traditional silversmith techniques, which means I used my hands and some old style tools to create this piece of jewellery.

• I hand cut the base (using a saw) and a file and sandpaper to make it smooth before putting it through a heavy duty industrial rolling mill to create the texture on the silver. I handmade a bezel (frame) to fit the smooth black pebble and soldered this altogether, with a plain, delicate ring band.

• I oxidised the ring to create an antique effect, polishing off the darkened silver to highlight the beautiful swirls and pattern in the texture. The piece overall has been textured by hand and then tumble polished before setting. The stone has been set using traditional setting techniques and hand tools.

All of my jewellery is handcrafted at my East London studio using traditional silversmith skills and techniques. All pieces are generally one-offs but I do take custom orders so if you see something is sold, please get in touch and I may be able to make something similar. I hold a range of gems, authentic sea glass, sea pottery and beach finds from which you may choose to have a piece crafted to your size.
