Rustic silver labradorite ring size UK N / O
Rustic silver labradorite ring size UK N / O
This ring has been hand fabricated using sterling silver. Thick silver wire has been forged by hand into twists and turns, mimicking those seen in nature, formed by vine branches. These twists have been fused to create stability in the twists and a single faceted labradorite gemstone graces them. The labradorite has the flashes of blue commonly seen in labradorites and the telltale veins running through the gem. The setting has an open back to allow light to shine through so that the detail in the gemstone can be visualised.
The sterling silver has been textured, further still representing the textures seen in the bark of trees. The silver has then been oxidised and polished to create depth and contrast around the beautiful gemstone.
Materials: Sterling silver, labradorite gemstone
Ring size: N to O (wide ring band which sits across 2 sizes)

All of my jewellery pieces are handcrafted by me using traditional silversmith skills at my little home studio, and are generally one of a kind in their design. I sometimes use findings which are not handmade, such as the chains I use for pendants but otherwise my jewellery is fashioned just from solid sheet metal and wire (silver, copper, brass, gold, bronze) and old fashioned basic techniques and tools. I use ethically sourced gemstones where possible and all of the beachcombed items I use such as sea glass, sea pottery and sea plastic are genuine, mostly found by me (unless kindly donated) and smoothed naturally by the sea predominantly off the coast of England. My pieces are hallmarked when necessary as a precious metal by the London Assay Office with my maker’s mark – I use mostly sterling silver for my handmade jewellery and these are hallmarked when they are above the weight of 7.78g.
