Silver bee ring
Silver bee ring
This ring has been handcrafted using traditional silversmithing skills and tools.
Made from purely recycled silver which has been melted down to create a pebble and then shaped into a crescent shape and textured. A perfect silver bee sits at the heart of the ring.
Bees are often associated with hard work, industry and productivity due to their strong work ethic. They have been known to symbolise new beginnings and have been considered guardians of the natural world. Since ancient times, they have featured in religious texts and many different cultures for centuries, drawing upon the soul, fertility and mindful living.

All of my jewellery pieces are handcrafted by me using traditional silversmith skills at my little home studio, and are generally one of a kind in their design. I sometimes use findings which are not handmade, such as the chains I use for pendants but otherwise my jewellery is fashioned just from sheet silver and silver wire and old fashioned basic techniques and tools. I use ethically sourced gemstones where possible and all of the beachcombed items I use such as sea glass, sea pottery and sea plastic are genuine, mostly found by me (unless kindly donated) and smoothed naturally by the sea predominantly off the coast of England. My pieces are hallmarked when necessary as a precious metal by the London Assay Office with my maker’s mark – I use mostly sterling silver for my handmade jewellery and these are hallmarked when they are above the weight of 7.78g.
