White pebble silver ring
White pebble silver ring
This ring captures a little piece of the Mediterranean with its use of a beautiful smooth white pebble from Greece as the focal point, encased in oxidised fine silver and set onto a sterling silver textured back plate and wide ring band with matching texture.
The ring band measures 13mm in width and has a criss-cross texture made using traditional silversmithing hammering techniques, and the darkened patina is perfect to highlight the beautiful natural brightness of the beach pebble.
Hand and tumble polished.
Measures: Size UK S 1/2 to U 1/2 (wide band so sits across a few sizes).
The pebble section of the ring measures 1.8cm x 1.5cm.
Materials: Sterling silver, fine silver, beach pebble.
All of my jewellery pieces are handcrafted by me using traditional silversmith skills at my little home studio, and are generally one of a kind in their design. I sometimes use findings which are not handmade, such as the chains I use for pendants but otherwise my jewellery is fashioned just from sheet silver and silver wire and old fashioned basic techniques and tools. I use ethically sourced gemstones where possible and all of the beachcombed items I use such as sea glass, sea pottery and sea plastic are genuine, mostly found by me (unless kindly donated) and smoothed naturally by the sea predominantly off the coast of England. My pieces are hallmarked when necessary as a precious metal by the London Assay Office with my maker’s mark – I use mostly sterling silver for my handmade jewellery and these are hallmarked when they are above the weight of 7.78g.
