Silver and brass hexagon earrings
Silver and brass hexagon earrings
These earrings have been made from solid brass and sterling silver to create a bold pair of earring decorations combining a mix of metals for a striking contrast. The solid brass been shaped into hexagons and then given a rustic texturing. They each hang from sterling silver stick loops which have an ear post fused to each piece of silver, allowing the solid brass hexagons freedom to move when hanging in the ears.

All of my jewellery pieces are handcrafted by me using traditional silversmith skills at my little home studio, and are generally one of a kind in their design. I sometimes use findings which are not handmade, such as the chains I use for pendants. My jewellery is otherwise fashioned from solid sheet metal (such as sterling silver, fine silver, solid brass, solid copper) and precious or solid wire (not plated) with the use of old fashioned basic techniques and tools. I use ethically sourced gemstones where possible and all of the beachcombed items I use such as sea glass, sea pottery and sea plastic are genuine, mostly found by me (unless kindly donated) and smoothed naturally by the sea predominantly off the coast of England. My pieces are hallmarked when necessary as a precious metal by the London Assay Office with my maker’s mark – I use mostly sterling silver for my handmade jewellery and these are hallmarked when they are above the weight of 7.78g.
