~ HANDCRAFTED STERLING SILVER AND COWRIE SHELL RING ~

Handcrafted from sterling silver sheet and wire, this has been made using traditional silversmithing tools and techniques at my East London studio.

The sterling silver setting has been left plain on one side and lightly hammered on the other side, surrounding the cowrie shell with effortless simplicity.

Around the cowrie shell are four silver pebbles, beautifully reminding the wearer that this shell was born from the sea. The ring has then been hand polished before a matt tumble polish, giving a delicate subtlety to the finish. Slim, slightly hammered sterling silver ring band.

Each piece of my jewellery is traditionally made by me using silversmithing tools and skills at my East London studio and are mostly one of a kind creations. I use precious metals, gemstones and beach finds in my work and apply different textures and finishes to vary my work as much as possible. I love to use organic shapes and influences and most sea glass or sea pottery pieces are used as they are without any additional cutting, sanding or tumbling. Gemstones are ethically sourced and I use every tiny bit of silver I purchase including any fragments, offcuts and silver dust.

All of my handmade jewellery pieces are presented in rustic, eco-friendly gift boxes and shipped in recycled packaging where possible.
