This ring has been handcrafted using traditional silversmith skills and tools at my East London studio.

The main circular shape has been created and forged flat from “scraps” of melted sterling silver. The silver has then been reticulated, which is a process whereby the fine silver is brought to the surface until it shifts and flows into organic swirls and craters and cooled before the silver melts. The patterns are always completely unique and often unpredictable allowing individual textures to form on the canvas of the silver like a work of art or a natural landscape.

Three brass nuggets have been melted and fused into the moon-like surface before being domed. The ring band has been crafted from a strip of sterling silver which has been textured by hammering it onto concrete. The ring has been given an patina bath to oxidise the metal, enabling darkness within the crevices whilst the higher areas remain shiny and polished, bringing real drama to this piece of handmade jewellery.
