This ring has been handmade using traditional silversmith and stonesetting techniques.

A piece of sterling silver strip has been hand forged into a medium ring band and given a rustic hammered texture. A beautifully eye-catching faceted sunstone gemstone has been hand set in a fine silver bezel. The stone has been set over the ring band so that another plain band can sit comfortably with it (like a stack).

All of my jewellery pieces are handcrafted by me using traditional silversmith skills at my little home studio in East London, and are generally one of a kind in their design or what is set into them. I sometimes use findings which are not handmade, such as the chains I use for pendants but otherwise my jewellery is fashioned just from solid sheet metal and wire (silver, copper, brass, gold, bronze) and old fashioned basic techniques and tools. I use ethically sourced gemstones where possible and all of the beachcombed items I use such as sea glass, sea pottery and sea plastic are genuine, mostly found by me (unless kindly donated) and smoothed naturally by the sea, predominantly off the coast of England. My pieces are hallmarked when necessary as a precious metal by the London Assay Office with my maker’s mark – I use mostly sterling silver for my handmade jewellery and these are hallmarked when they are above the weight of 7.78g
